Order and order in the inbox

Do you have a cluttered and messy inbox that needs to be cleaned up? Gmail does not have folders, but instead uses labels to keep track of all emails. Labels fulfill the same function but can feel unusual among those who have always used folders. It’s an easy way to clean out emails from your inbox but still keep them for any future needs.

Email is easily sorted under a label by dragging it from the Inbox to a label in the left menu. If you want it back in the inbox, just drag it from the label to the inbox. The email will then be visible in the inbox but will also be found under the label. An email can have any number of labels. If you want to remove a label from a message, just open the message and click on the label that you see to the right of the message heading. At the bottom of Gmail’s left menu you will find the Create New Label feature.
